We are seeking an individual with knowledge and qualifications in the Mental Health sector or working towards a minimum qualification of Certificate IV in Mental Health or equivalent, and with an understanding of the impact of mental illness on carers.
This position provides emotional and practical support to people who are caring for others impacted by mental illness. In this role, you will provide support and educative workshops to carers and families, on an individual basis or in groups.
You will need to be organised with excellent time management skills with well-developed communication skills to build supportive relationships with carers and with other key stakeholders.
This position is part time (4 days per week), based in Broken Hill and offers a maximum term contract until 25 June 2027. If further funding is made available, an additional contract may be offered to the incumbent. An attractive remuneration package is on offer commensurate with your qualifications and experience.
