The PEDAL program is a school based playgroup model that targets families with children aged 0-5 years. The program provides play experiences that create opportunity to develop children’s social, emotional, physical, language and creative skills.

Funded by The Department of Social Services, the FamilyCare program is delivered in Bourke, Brewarrina, Broken Hill, Cobar, Condobolin, Nyngan, Parkes (with outreach to Trundle and Peak Hill) and Warren. The FamilyCare program primarily targets families with children aged 0-12 years, but also offers support to families with children up the age of 18 years. Parkes – Forbes – Bourke – Cobar. The Specialist Homelessness Services program is funded by the NSW Department of Family and Community Services. The overall goal of the Specialist Homelessness Service (SHS) are to ensure better outcomes for vulnerable people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. Our services are working to strengthen the capacity of homeless services in our service areas of Forbes, Parkes, Cowra, Grenfell, Peak Hill, Condobolin, Lake Cargelligo, Bourke and Cobar and achieve a better balance of prevention, early intervention and crisis support for our clients. Due to the Going Home Staying Home (GHSH) reforms and identifying the “gaps in service” in these communities, we are now able to assist young people, single males and females, families and women escaping domestic or family violence in all of the communities that we work in. CatholicCare’s Parent Child Services provide services to families with children with an early intervention and prevention approach. Parent Child Services support parents and cares in: Raising their children through parent education and one on one support Participating in early learning opportunities through playgroups Accessing helpful information about child development, parenting, support services and resources Becoming part of support networks Connecting to other services that can help Our family workers are accredited parent educators and offer parent education and support on an individual basis as well as in group settings. Parent Education programs include; 123 Magic, Triple P, Circle of Security, Parents As Teachers, Childbirth Education and Bringing Up Great Kids. Group activities include community based playgroups, school based playgroups, mums and bubs groups and peer support groups.
