The PEDAL program is a school based playgroup model that targets families with children aged 0-5 years. The program provides play experiences that create opportunity to develop children’s social, emotional, physical, language and creative skills.

Funded by The Department of Social Services, the FamilyCare program is delivered in Bourke, Brewarrina, Broken Hill, Cobar, Condobolin, Nyngan, Parkes (with outreach to Trundle and Peak Hill) and Warren. The FamilyCare program primarily targets families with children aged 0-12 years, but also offers support to families with children up the age of 18 years. The program provides: Parent education Supported playgroups Peer Support groups School readiness programs Individual support
Broken Hill – Bourke – Brewarrina – Menindee – White Cliffs – Tibooburra. Funded by the Department of Social Services, the Drought Assistance Program provides support to families and individuals experiencing geographic isolation and distress from ongoing drought challenges. We provide a whole of family focused approach with a strong commitment to outreach. Support being provided: Community events and workshops with a holistic educational focus Face-to-face and phone counselling Assistance for families experiencing conflict or other relationship issues Supported referral where needed
Bourke – Brewarrina. Funded by the Department of Social Services, Reconnect is a community based early intervention program for young people (12-18 years) who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. It is designed to reduce the impact of homelessness on the individual and the family and to help the young person and the family achieve family reconciliation where possible. CatholicCare’s Parent Child Services provide services to families with children with an early intervention and prevention approach. Parent Child Services support parents and cares in: Raising their children through parent education and one on one support Participating in early learning opportunities through playgroups Accessing helpful information about child development, parenting, support services and resources Becoming part of support networks Connecting to other services that can help Our family workers are accredited parent educators and offer parent education and support on an individual basis as well as in group settings. Parent Education programs include; 123 Magic, Triple P, Circle of Security, Parents As Teachers, Childbirth Education and Bringing Up Great Kids. Group activities include community based playgroups, school based playgroups, mums and bubs groups and peer support groups. One on one support is available to individuals and families and are delivered at our office or in the home.
